Simbhu joins Sneha Ullal in Vaanam
The shooting of the Simbhu starrer Vaanam is in full swing. Directed by Krish, this movie is a remake of the critically acclaimed Telugu hit Vedam which had Allu Arjun and Manoj Manchu in lead roles. Though it was first announced that Anushka would be the heroine of this movie, it was then rumored that Anushka would appear only for a "kuthu" song in the movie. Now the latest news is that Sneha Ullal, who was last seen in the Telugu movie Simha, has replaced Anushka as the heroine.
Co-produced by VTV Ganesh who also acts in a cameo role, Vaanam is a quickie and is slated for a Diwali release.

Karunas seeks protection!
Comedian turned hero Karunas of Ambasamudram Ambani fame visited the Police Commissioners office today to lodge a complaint.
The comedian it seems has been threatened by several pro-Sri Lanka Tamil groups as he is planning to go to Kandy in Srilanka with his family for a pilgrimage.
Later speaking to newsmen, Karunas said:"I am getting threatening calls and SMS’s from people owing allegiance to Naam Thamizar, asking me not to go to Sri Lanka. It is purely a personal visit as Kandy Kathirkamam Murugan is my Kula Deivam (family deity) and I had taken a vow that I will pray there. I have also some relatives in Sri Lanka, and I will be definitely calling on them.”

Vijay-Kajal in next Lingusamy film
After shelving his film with Silambarasan, director Lingusamy is gearing to start his new film with Vijay. Vijay is said to begin this film in November by which time his other film ‘Velayudham’ will be completed. And for the heroine of ‘Velayudham’, sources say Vijay and Lingusamy have finalised Kajal Agarwal for the role.
Kajar Agarwal was considered for the role Hansika Motwani plays in ‘Velayudham’. But Kajal did not have the required dates and had to sacrifice the offer. Now all are in place and Kajal Agarwal is ready to rock with Vijay.
‘Velayudham’ is an action packed film produced by Cloud Nine Movies much in the classy lines of earlier super hit ‘Paiyaa’.
