Prabhu Deva started shooting with Vishal and Sameera!

Prabhu Deva shot for the first time scenes involving Vishal and Sameera Reddy for GK Corporations untitled film at SSN College in Chennai.

The film is a remake of the Telugu hit Shouryam that had Gopichand and Anushka in the lead.

Earlier last month, after a soft launch, Prabhu Deva had shot comedy scenes between Vivek and Sameera at the same college.

Vishal who plays a cop in the film has started shooting only from Friday (Feb 18), as he was busy completing Bala's Avan Ivan.

Prabhu Deva directing Vishal in an all out action movie has created a positive buzz around the film.

The film has music by Vijay Antony  and it is sure to turn out into a peppy entertainer.

Nayanthara: “Prabhu Deva told me not to act in films”

2010 was favourable to Nayantara as an actress, though it put immense pressure her as an individual, thanks to her relationship with Prabhu Deva!

With the back-to-back success of her almost all films in 2010, everybody thought that she would regain her No. 1 position in the South in 2011, but things are apparently not working out like that!

Sources close to the actress reveal that she has stopped giving dates and is planning to quit films after completing her ongoing Telugu project Sri Rama Rajyam, a mythological film in which she plays Sita.

The buzz is that Prabhu Deva had asked her to quit films after Sri Rama Rajyam, since they are getting married by the year end. A website also quoted the actress as saying: "Prabhu Deva told me not to act in films post marriage. Having thought it through and discussed it with wellwishers, I am absolutely confident it is the right decision for me." So Sri Rama Rajyam is most likely to be her swan song as an actress.

Vishal will join Prabhu Deva's film soon!

Reportedly Vishal has completed the shoot of Bala’s Avan Ivan and will now join Prabhu Deva's film unit in the first week of February. The film is produced under Vishal’s home banner GK Film Corporation. Pretty actress Sameera Reddy has already started shooting for the film in Chennai. Reportedly Sameera plays the role of a fun-loving college girl Paaro. Sameera will try her hand at comedy for the first time in this film.

Meanwhile, Prabhu Deva’s directorial venture Engeyum Kaathal, staring Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani, is likely to hit screens on Valentine's Day.

Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara decided to tie the wedding knot on July

At last all is well for Prabhu Deva. The director-choreographer had ended up his relationship with his legally wedded wife Ramlath. No matter whatever the price tag may be, Prabhu Deva has agreed to all make settlements as ordered by the Family court in Chennai.

Ramlath on the other hand is withdrawing all the case filed against Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara. The legal statement on Prabhu Deva's divorce will be issued on June and the love birds have decided to tie the wedding knot a month after that.

Sources add that Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara are planning for a grand wedding event. But the place of the wedding is not yet confirmed. Watch out the space for more updates.

Prabhu Deva keeping mum about Nayanthara

Prabhu Deva’s meeting with the press was a highly anticipated affair and it happened recently in Chennai. Though the director convened the meet for Engeyum Kadhal, a film directed by him, the press were naturally eager to ask questions about Nayanthara.

Brushing them aside, the director only answered queries pertaining to Engeyum Kadhal. He said that most part of the shooting has been completed in France and it will be a romantic flick with the locations adding its touch of romance.

Prabhu, on how he manages to excel in different aspects of cinema such as acting, direction and choreography, said that he never seeks anything but take things as it comes.

Prabhu and Nayan case posted on January 21st, 2011

Prabhu Deva and Nayan did not heed to the court summons for the second consecutive time. The two were served the summons through the Nadigar Sangam after they failed to appear for the first summons.

It was strongly expected that Prabhu and Nayan would make it to the family court yesterday, November 23rd, 2010 to counter the charges made by Ramlath Prabhu Deva. It may be recalled that Ramlath had filed a petition for restitution of conjugal rights and seeking a bar on Prabhu and Nayan from making public appearances together.

Several media persons who thronged the court complex had to return frustrated when the magistrate ordered the case to be posted on January 21st, 2011 and issue a third summon to Prabhu and Nayan as both of them failed to appear.

Ramlath’s advocate also submitted a medical certificate in court stating that his client is unwell and could not attend the hearing.

Protest against Nayantara

Hindu Makkal Katchi Kanna has raised protest against Nayantara for playing the role of 'Sita' in an upcoming Tollywood flick 'Sri Rama Rajyam' in which Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the lead roles.

 

Chennai Family Court has also issued fresh summons to Nayantara & Prabhu Deva to appear in court in January 2011 as they failed to appear in court on Tuesday.

HMK objected to the actress playing the role of Sita in the Telugu flick is like insulting our morals, sentiments and the great epic. Describing that Ramayana is based on the principles of 'One man one woman' whereas Nayan has been stealing other woman`s husband in real life is not fit to play the role of Sita.

Prabhu Deva,Ramlath marriage was not registered!

Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara have been issued court summons through Nadigar Sangam to appear before the court on November 23rd, 2010 based on the complaint filed by Prabhu’s wife Ramlath.

At a time when there is a strong anticipation if the two would appear before the court of law, Prabhu shocked everyone by claiming that the marriage between him and Ramlath is not legal as it was not registered. He is discussing with legal experts to proceed with the case filed by Ramlath seeking restitution of conjugal rights based on this claim.

His wife is gearing to counter this claim by collecting all the necessary documents like the ration card and her children’s birth certificates which indicates that Prabhu is her husband

Prabhu Deva hails Jayam Ravi

Choreograher, actor, director Prabhu Deva is busy filming a song sequence for ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ in New Zealand. But the director hasn't forgot to appreciate the lead star Jayam Ravi and music director Harris Jeyaraj. On speaking about Jayam Ravi, Prabhu Deva said, “Ravi is an excellent actor and is a delight for every director. I can give full marks to him in all aspects. He is ready to go to any extent to make the director feel satisfied. He is such a hardworking artiste.

The audio of ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ was released a few days back and is busy banging the FM adios and car stereos. The songs have come out well and for sure will complement the movie a lot. Harris's music has been the backbone of many hit movies like Vaaranam Aayiram, Kakka Kakka, Minnale, Aadhavan, Ayan etc.

Prabhu Deva on commenting about the music said that “His songs are the major strength of ‘Engeyum Kadhal’. There are seven songs and each one belongs to a different genre. Harris knows the pulse of youngsters well. The director also had praises for the producer Kalpathi S Aghoram and said that “the film has come out well and it is because of the support from Aghoram sir. He was always willing to spend for a quality end product.

Prabhu Deva and Nayan are summoned by court

There seems to be no end in sight for the troubles of south actor-director-choreographer Prabhu Deva and his girlfriend Nayantara.

A family court today issued fresh notice to the duo on an application by Prabhu Deva’s wife Ramlat seeking an interim injunction restraining her husband and the actress from marrying.

The court earlier this month had issued notice to Prabhu Deva and the actress Nayantara and posted the matter for today. As the two were not present in the court, the judge ordered issue of fresh notice and posted the matter for November 23.

Reportedly it’s a summon to Prabhu and Nayan to be present during the court hearing on the aforementioned date.

The two have been facing strong opposition from Deva’s wife, who is insisting upon the restoration of her conjugal rights with Deva.

Prabhu expected to reply against Ramlath

Prabhu Deva is reportedly holding discussions with his lawyers to give a counter to Ramlath’s petition. The lady has recently filed a petition at the family court seeking the court’s intervention to get her husband back in to the matrimonial home.

The court has posted the case to November 23rd. Meanwhile, Prabhu is busy holding discussions with his lawyers and father Sundaram.

Prabhu is expected to reply to all the allegations made by Ramlath in the petition.

Prabhu Deva's wife approaches court

In the midst of rumours that Prabhu Deva and Nayantara are likely to tie the knot sometime in December, Prabhu Deva's wife Latha aka Ramalath approached the Chennai Family Court on Monday pleading it to direct her husband not to leave her. The move came in the wake of Prabhu Deva admitting his affair and forthcoming marriage with Nayantara.

In her petition, Ramalath accused Prabhu Deva of not taking care of domestic responsibilities and not paying money to run the household expenses after he allegedly fell in love with Nayantara. She also stated in the her plea that Nayantara is spreading rumours that she had offered her (Latha) Rs. 3.85 crore and jewels to divorce Prabhu Deva and agree for their marriage.

Admitting that she did pick a fight with Nayantara once over phone, Ramlath warned that she would give Nayantara a sound thrashing if they meet. Notably, Prabhu Deva has not divorced Ramalath, nor is the couple legally separated. They were married on September 8, 1995 and had three sons. One of their sons passed away due to cancer.

Prabhu Deva fixes on October 3rd 2010!

With the audio rights of Engeyum Kadhal having been acquired by Sony Music, the music launch of this film has been slated to be held on October 3rd 2010 at Sathyam Cinemas. Engeyum Kadhal was initially titled Ich, but the director was not too keen on the title and preferred something lengthier. Finally, it was decided on Engeyum Kadhal following the lyrics of a song from the film which is touted to become a chartbuster.

AGS Entertainment Kalpathi S Agoram has produced Engeyum Kadhal and Prabhu Deva has directed it. Harris Jayaraj has scored the music for Engeyum Kadhal, which has Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani in lead roles.

Prabhu Deva finally confessed his love!

Ever since they were spotted together at South Scope Style Awards event last year, there was so much media speculation about their affair.

After much speculation and wait , 2 time National Award winning dancer, choreographer, actor and film director Prabhu Deva has finally confessed his love for actress Nayanthara.

NDTV reports that Prabhu Deva is currently shooting for Santosh Sivan’s movie,said that he is in love with Nayanthara and that the couple will be getting married soon. He also added that it is a personal decision and he prefers not to talk about it to the media.

She even tattooed Prabhu name (P in English and the rest in Tamil) in her hand.

Earlier this year, Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara did a “live” hip-hop performance at the TN Chief Minister felicitate function on February 6 2010.

Glam queen Nayanthara and Prabhudeva ( known as Indian Michael Jackson ) worked together in Vijay’s Villu and were close friends since then.

Prabhudeva’s ‘ICH’ named changed…

Early this month we had said that two films with fancy small titles, Pushkar-Gayatri directed ‘Va- Quarter Cutting’ and the other is Prabhu Deva directed ‘Ich’, may go in for title changes.

Cloud Nine Movies Dhayanidhi Alagiri had said his ‘Va- Quarter Cutting’ will stay. He explained the title saying ‘Va’ means the fractional number one fourth written in Tamil and ‘Quarter Cutting’ is just a tag and not the title.

But Prabhu Deva hasn’t got an acceptable explanation for the title and so has changed ‘Ich’ to ‘Engeyum Kadhal’.  Music Director of the film Harris Jayaraj has confirmed the title change and he also has said from where the title has been grabbed.

The title has been taken from the lead song of the film. Of course the new title is far better than the previous one. Interestingly only a couple of days ago Prabhu Deva had gone public saying he loves Nayantara and they soon will marry. Engeyum Kadhal, Eppodhum Kadhal.

Prabhu Deva opens up about his love affair!

Prabhu Deva finally opens up about his love affair with actress Nayanathara. Earlier reported that he would be marrying her in December this year. He admits now. In an interview, he talks about his love life.

The media has been writing in detail about your affair with Nayanthara. But you have so far refused to talk about it or acknowledge the relationship. Why?

Throughout my career the media has been writing a lot of things about me, but I have never bothered to react or call a press meet to clarify or issue a denial. As far as Nayanthara is concerned she is special. Yes I am in love with Nayanthara and we will be getting married soon. It’s a personal decision and I don’t like to talk about it to the media. Basically I’m not comfortable opening my heart out to the media.

The grapevine has it that Nayan has quit acting to settle down with you. Please comment?

She’s very contrary to the glam image that you see. She’s a home bird, very simple. Any man who is in love would like to spend more time with his woman. I am no different and there is no meaning in both of us being busy and having no time for each other. She had a beautiful innings and I know very well that she is a top actress who is much in demand.

What is that one defining change that Nayan has brought in you?

(Smiles) It’s not one, there are many. She has stood by me in my difficult times and her support was like an oasis in the desert. Earlier I was a short-tempered person but now my assistants and friends say that I have mellowed down a lot (Smiles). She is a very strong person and has made me like her. She has taught me how to love each other unconditionally and how to carry myself in public. She is a wonderful human being and I find everything about her lovable.

Prabhu Deva’s ‘Ich’ may change

Two films with fancy small titles are contemplating how that will be received. One is Pushkar-Gayatri directed ‘Va- Quarter Cutting’ and the other is Prabhu Deva directed ‘Ich’. Both films are backed by reputed banners, Cloud Nine Movies and AGS Entertainers respectively.

While speaking at the audio launch function of ‘Va- Quarter Cutting’, Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies categorically said the title of the film is only ‘Va’ and Quarter Cutting’ is just a tag line. He also said ‘Va’ is a clear Tamil title and hoped it will pass through all stipulation and regulations (Read tax exception for Tamil titles).

For the Prabhu Deva directed ‘Ich’ there may be a decision soon to change the title. Apparently people feel the ‘Jayam’ Ravi and Hansika Motwani starrer title is not Tamil enough for obvious reasons. What could be the new tile? Sources say they have a long but catchy title ‘Ennai Vittu Odi Poga Mudiyuma’ under consideration. We like it.

Both the films are at the final stages and will hit the theatres this year. ‘Va’ had its music release last week and ‘Ich’ is all complete but for two songs.

Nayan,Prabhu Deva planning to tie the knot soon

Rumours are getting thick and fast about south actress Nayantara and actor-director-choreographer Prabhu Deva planning to tie the knot soon.

The duo has apparently been dating for a long time though Prabhu Deva is already married. In fact, his closeness to Nayan was a source of constant friction in his marriage with wife Latha.

Now, there is a strong buzz that Nayan and Prabhu are set to take their relationship to the next level with a marital bond. We hear Nayanthara has already stopped signing any new project and will now devote herself to clear the pending lot, which includes two films in Malayalam, one in Kannada and one in Tamil.

There are also reports that the divorce between Prabhu Deva and his wife is likely to come through soon.
